2. Data Collected

Voluntarily provided personal data:

• Age
• Gender
• Weight
• Height
• Country
• PAL factor

This data is stored locally on your device and used for nutritional analysis.

Also stored locally:

• Photos you take for food analysis
• Your food diary entries

3. Third-Party Services

Google Health Connect

When you establish the connection, we request read access to the following data categories, subject to your approval. We only read the data necessary for the purposes listed below:

• Total Calories Burned (READ_TOTAL_CALORIES_BURNED):
  • Purpose: To display this data in your daily and historical overview and to balance it against your logged consumed calories (creating a calorie balance).
• Weight (READ_WEIGHT):
  • Purpose: To display your weight trend, calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI), and more accurately calculate your estimated calorie expenditure (basal metabolic rate).
• Active Calories Burned (READ_ACTIVE_CALORIES_BURNED):
  • Purpose: To provide a detailed display of your calories burned through activity and to (separately) balance them against your consumed calories.
• Steps (READ_STEPS):
  • Purpose: To display your daily step count and visualize your activity progress.

a) Firebase (Google LLC)

Used for anonymous user authentication during onboarding. A token is generated per user.

b) PostHog (EU servers)

Used for usage analytics to improve user experience and develop new features. No direct personal data is collected.

c) Google Cloud Logging

Error logs and crash reports may be collected anonymously to improve stability and functionality.

d) OpenAI via Google Cloud Function

If you use AI-powered features:

• Photos are sent to OpenAI for food analysis.
• Personal information (e.g., age, goals) may be forwarded to OpenAI when generating food suggestions.
• All requests are handled via Google Cloud Functions.
• Usage data (request count, token usage) is logged anonymously in Firestore.

4. Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally unless a feature explicitly sends it to a third party. Data transmission only occurs as needed and described above.

5. Your Rights (under GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccuracies
• Request deletion or restriction
• Object to processing
• Request data portability

6. App Distribution

This app is distributed via the Google Play Store. Google's privacy policy applies in addition to this document.
